Dear Sunset Park Homeowners,
After careful consideration, your HOA Board of Directors has voted to increase the quarterly HOA fee to $325 effective April 1st, 2023.
Despite negotiating new vendor contracts, our general operating expenses currently exceed the amount collected from annual dues. This is the first HOA fee increase in twelve years and is necessary to ensure that the community continues to be properly maintained. The largest increase in expenses are for grounds and pool maintenance, and we anticipate further increases. It is the Board’s goal to be able to keep Sunset Park well-maintained and to be able to maintain an adequate reserve fund to complete capital improvement projects without special assessments.
The HOA has also completed many capital improvement projects in recent years which include the following items:
- renovated main & kiddie pools
- installed Sundek no-slip / heat-resistant surface at pool on top of concrete
- upgraded pool access system
- paved pathway leading to pool from Sunset Drive
- replaced pool furniture
- installed irrigation in common area
- constructed demarcation signs at shared roads with Eulas Glen & Brittain Downs
- replaced entrance lighting
If you pay your quarterly HOA fees via mailed check, via HOABankServices.com, or via bill pay, please be sure to pay the new amount going forward. If you are on auto-draft (ACH) directly through David Floyd & Associates, Inc., no action is required and the quarterly payments will be adjusted automatically.
